Beautiful Sands, walking distance to the Beach!!

I love this side of Galveston & will most certainly seek out this neighborhood when I return! Positive: Easy walk to the beach, even easier drive to the beach (parking, too 😁). We had an unforeseen water leak at the home, but were quickly offered another home close by which was beautiful! Negative: Beach On had some super steep steps inside. If you’re older or have old runners knees like me & my husband, getting to the 2nd floor will be challenging. Leave this home for the young folk.

the kids had fun, we enjoyed being in Galveston Positive: Location to the beach, nice quiet safe neighborhood, easy to get to. The wagon and toys were great, the outdoor shower was great. Negative: The home was a nice design but it is rotting. I realize salt water is hard on wood but no one has done a thing to this place in ages. Rotted joists on the deck, rotted deck boards, loose step to get to the deck. The house never moved into the 2,000's on the inside. The master bathroom has a shower the size of a casket. If you bump the door accidentally is comes open while showering, the ice maker was missing the arm and did not work. Furniture and rug was filthy and worn out. If you are a senior the steps are hard to climb to get the the only big shower that is upstairs. Ants invaded thru the rotted sliding door threshold. Had to buy ice to use, ant spray to use cause the spray there (which tells me this is a recurring problem) did not spray. Smelled musty when we walked in, never went away, and my clothes that hung in the closet picked up that smell. It seems to me that whomever you have hired to clean or do maintenance is just taking your money. The shark vacuum did not work and was plugged into the charger. Having used toilet paper stuck in the toilet bowl brush was a nice touch, who cleans a toilet full of toilet paper with a bowl brush and leaves it there to use again?! Really wish I had taken a picture of it.

Cozy and lovely beach house that we will definitely rent again! Positive: Very cozy and comfortable beach walking distance from the beach.

Positive: Location was great amd perfect sleeping arrangement for our family. Pet friendly as our GSP loves the water! Communication was terrific! Negative: There was not any supply of toilet paper, had to go buy some after used what was on the roll. Needed more for 4+ days and 6 people.

My family had a great time! Positive: Super cozy! Negative: Everything was great!
